Holds a Master degree in Computer Science, and is currently working as a Data Science Instructor at Spiced Academy. Tom has also been a Product Manager and Data Scientist delivering both practical training and data-driven enterprise solutions, so he has a wide experience in the field.

Francesco Mosconi

Francesco Mosconi is founder and Data Scientist at ​Catalit​. Previously he was lead Data Science instructor at General Assembly and The Data Incubator, as well as Chief Data Officer and co-founder at Spire, a Y Combinator-backed startup that invented the first consumer wearable device capable of continuously tracking respiration and activity. He earned a joint PhD in biophysics at University of Padua and Université de Paris VI and a master in theoretical physics at the University of Padua. Francesco is also a graduate of the Singularity University class of summer 2011. Francesco has published a book called ​Zero to Deep Learning​ and runs training boot camps in San Francisco.

    Watermark detection in Adevinta Spain. Goal: Detect and potentially delete images with watermarks to improve the UX. Contribution type: UX improvement. Done by: RE Spain, Cognition (Hub), and Enablers (Hub).

  • How long will it take me to finish ML Business course?

    We estimate 60 min per module, approx 12 hrs to complete.. Content will be released weekly until complete the whole course.

  • How long will it take me to finish ML Tech course?

    We estimate 60-90 min per module, approx 18 hrs to complete. Content will be released weekly until complete the whole course.

  • Will my course include home assignments? Is there any homework in the course?

    We won't send homework, however at the end of each lesson you have to complete a short quiz with key questions to make sure the content has been understood.

  • What happens when I finish a course?

    You receive a course certificate that you can post online to show that you've acquired some new ML skills.

  • How do I share feedback about the course?

    After completing each course, you'll have the opportunity to rate it and add feedback. On top of this, we will send a survey at the end of the Q to gather more feedback

  • Is it possible to join both business and tech courses?

    Yes! You can do both courses, however for the Tech one, as a pre-requisite, you need to have as a minimum python intermediate level.

  • Will the ML courses be provided with scheduled lessons or through offline lessons?

    Modules will be launched every week as recorded videos, you can take it offline and at your own pace. However, we will enable slack group discussion for the course with the intructor, so is recommended taking the course once is launched to don't miss this part

  • How do I know when a new module is available?

    An email notification will be sent every time we launch each module
